The shipbuilding industry (new construction/maintenance) is subject to specific problems. One of them is the lack of availability and quality of information on many different components as well as the batch production process. This is reflected by a lack of responsiveness and competitiveness within the shipbuilding sector. In order to bring solutions to these problems, the ALTER EGO project aims to create a network of alternative communication between objects based on a new methodology for process optimization, as well as software and electronic components. In order to achieve this, it integrates process automation and logistics, maintenance and quality management. This solution aims to optimize construction and maintenance by improving inventory management, the production flow of materials and knowledge of the operating situation of the systems... The aim of the project is to create a consolidated and competitive system to provide the operator with an intuitive presentation of information and provide decision support through a discontinuous network of communicating objects: ambient passive intercommunication across time and space.
